Nielsen
research institute released a report on the theme of the game in the United
States. Last year, the total time spent playing video games rose 7 percent. The
purchase of digital content and subscriptions were up 8 percent. More than half
of households, more precisely 56 percent had at least one current-generation
game consoles per January 2012, an increase compared to 50 percent in the
previous year.
Game-based
mobile, handheld and tablet are also growing, 66 percent of households with
children aged 6 to 12 years have a Nintendo DS or Sony PSP, also has an IOS
device. More adults aged 25 to 34 years of playing games on Android devices
than IOS, IOS game but more evenly spread across all ages. For the next
generation of game consoles, four of five players who have the most advanced
game consoles (Sony PS3, Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360) claimed to be interested in
next-generation game consoles.
