Users
who are interested in Chromebook from Google now has only two choices, namely
Acer AC700 or Samsung Series 5 Chromebook. Both laptops powered by Intel Atom
processor, the only chips that are currently supported platform Chromebook. Recent rumors have indicated that the Chrome
OS will soon support ARM-based processor, it will open a new door for the
platform.
According
to the issue tracker Chromium OS, a new product code-named'' Daisy'' had been
rumored several times, is equipped with Samsung Exynos 5250 chip. Samsung's
32nm chips will feature the ARM Cortex-A15 design and will be capable of
running at speeds up to 2GHz, and even chip-based ARM Cortex A15 will have a
more efficient power consumption than the ARM Cortex-A9 chip and Intel's Atom
processor. Chromium OS is Google's open source OS, with contributions from
users that have a major role in its development.
