Legal case between
Google and Android related Oracle warms up again. This time Google is offering
to pay a portion of the revenue Android Oracle if Oracle can prove the
existence of patent infringement in the Android mobile operating system
technology. However, Oracle flatly rejected the offer because it undervalued.
The negotiation process
is a continuation of legal proceedings between Google and Oracle. San Francisco
District Judge William Alsup previously suggested that Oracle and Google to
find a way that this case does not drag on.
Google offers to pay
Oracle some 2.8 million dollars as compensation for the two patents that are
still disputed. As for the compensation in the future, Google offers Android
gives 0.5% of income in one of the patents that expire this December, and0.015%
for the second patent will expire by April 2018. According to Google, these compensation
figures are in line with what is calculated by an expert appointed by the court
in this case.
Oracle's response to
Google's bid was too low to consider it. Oracle also is seeking to ban Android.
For that Oracle will appeal in court to seek full accountability for the
actions of Google is not based on the rule of law.
Oracle acquire Java,
Oracle technology is considered to be used in Android by Google in 2010.
Earlier this month Oracle agreed to withdraw some of his lawsuit after a patent
is rejected by the U.S. patent office (USPTO).
Alsup hopes that the two
companies have obtained the agreement as far as possible up to the 13th of
April. Thus, the jury did not need to be presented in court. However, the judge
also said it would consider IPR trial if the two companies do not reach an agreement.
Alsup also considers that this case is a case of intellectual property rights
worldwide.
