New Technology Gives Birth Seagate Hard Drive Capacity Capable of 60 TB
Seagate announced a few days ago was able to make the hard drive with a capacity of 60 TB with new technology Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording (HAMR). HAMR technology is able to increase the limit up to 55% more on a normal hard drive.

Currently they are able to accommodate 620 gigabits per square inch. a 3.5-inch hard drive (desktop) currently has a limit of 3 TB, while the size is 2.5 inch (notebook) has a limit of 720 GB capacity. But with technology HAMR, Seagate was able to make the storage size of 3.5 inches to 60 TB and 20 TB of storage media size to 2.5 inches.
