Hello readers. Motion Picture Association of America (American Association of Film / MPAA) this week sent a motion to file-sharing service Rapidshare District Court in Florida, USA. MPAA defines itself as the voice and advocate for American films, wrote that the business model similar to Megaupload Hotfile, which closed late last year.

Hotfile is responsible for millions of illegal downloading of copyrighted content, including film and television properties. As with other piracy services such as Napster, Grokster, and Limewire isoHunt, Hotfile live and profit from copyright infringement. More than 90 percent of the file on Hotfile constitutes copyright infringement, and almost all Rapidshare users engage in copyright infringement.

MPAA hopes that the site is turned off and the site Hotfile pay damages to an aggrieved film studio.
