A
patent has just seen but it has been proposed long ago by Nokia showed his
desire to patent slide-to-unlock. This approach will allow users to move
certain icons on the screen to open the application. In addition to the open
area the user is also able to open 2 key level that is able to release any
application to be accessible on the home screen.
This
patent is different from Apple's patent which shifts according to the existing
line. While Google has also filed another patent unlock using different
techniques, namely multi-step application released although this patent does
not use a fixed path like Apple's patent. HTC Android device and Sense 3.0 has
been using a method that works faster than Nokia's method, which allows users
to freely move in the direction on the application icon is available.
Unfortunately
not yet known whether Nokia will use the patent on the device, because since
the switch to Windows Phone all the controls for the basic display is held by
Microsoft. Nokia is known only a little space to customize the phone other than
those already set by Microsoft so it is likely that the platform will get the
slide-to-unlock model like this is MeeGo or Symbian platform.
