Toshiba
introduces Xceria Tuesday, a new SD card product line to them, which is claimed
is the fastest in the world. Overall this ranks pretty quickly to get the grade
UHS-1 and class 10. Exceria the fastest type Type 1 can get a reading speed of
95MB per second and 90MB per second data writing, very fast and suitable for a
new DSLR camera.
To
line up a mid-end Type 2, the fixed data reading writing 95 MBps, but dropped
to 60 MBps. For the least expensive type, Exceria Type HD, reading the data is
still relatively high, 90 MBps, while the write speed is only 30 MBps although
that much is still quite fast enough.
This
SD card will be launched first in Japan. For Type HD 8GB and 16GB will be
available in April, following a 32GB version in May Type one of the fastest
Xceria third variant appeared in June. Type 2 appears in August, but the
storage is quite different, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Price is not yet known.
