As
we know one of the interesting features in Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is
the Face Unlock. For your ICS users would be interested to try it, this feature
is to use the user's face to unlock the phone. In Samsung Galaxy Nexus that we
review, this feature went well (certainly succeed if adequate lighting around
your face and not be changed) Apparently Apple does not want to lose, from the
documentation published by the Office of Patents and Trademarks United States,
they want to use the same features.
This patent describes about a system that
can scan and detect the user's face to unlock the device. If users can not be
identified by the system, he will be asked the security code. This is similar
to the ICS feature unlock face, where a previous user can choose between
questioning the security code or lock with a pattern, like that already exist
in the previous versions of Android. But apparently Apple did not just use face
detection to unlock the device. Once the user's face is identified, the system
can be used as a setting to launch a specific application which is
predetermined, such as opening an email, SMS and others.
