Sony
reportedly will soon launch an online photo storage service, 'PlayMermories
Online,' next week. For starters, this service will be available in six
countries, namely Japan, USA, Canada, Germany, France and Britain. Start can be
enjoyed on May 25 and provide the capacity 5GB space free of charge. The
service also allows users to upload photos or video taken with Sony cameras
directly via software 'PlayMermories Home'.
While
the upload through the application will be available on Google Android Play
catch up. pictures can later be shared online, and can also be viewed using the
Bravia TV. Some of the WiFi-enabled Sony cameras can also transmit the results
directly. new service Sony is actually similar to Apple's iCloud service,
DropBox, and also the Google Drive will also be present. Rivals, Samsung is
also rumored to soon launch a similar cloud-based services.
