Microsoft
continues its efforts to prepare Windows 8 tablets in addition to Intel's
ARM-based architecture. In addition to be done to improve battery life,
Microsoft's attempt to use ARM chip for tablets is influenced by a desire to
make a tablet that is more affordable than the Intel chip.
Sources
of Digitimes recently said that the tablet with Windows 8 version of RT and the
ARM processor can be made at a cost of 300 dollars or less. In the meantime if
Intel used the tablet will be priced at between 300-1000 dollars, depending on
the installed configuration. Microsoft is also rumored to have asked HP, Dell,
Lenovo, Acer, Asus and Toshiba to make this tablet, with Acer and Lenovo looks
very keen to make a Windows tablet with a price of 300 dollars less for the
vast Asian market.
The
latest news also mentioned that there will be about 32 types of Windows tablet
that will slide before the end of the year. If the tablet using Windows RT it
will be available applications Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint version of
the ARM. With a price around 300 dollars per unit, Microsoft is also rumored
