Line,
a Japanese messaging applications has passed 50 million registered users until
July 26, 2012. On average, the application is received 1 million new members
every week.
The
first line was released in June 2011 and was ranked top in the App Store
applications across 24 countries. While this application is the user base
through Google's Android Play. In addition to exchanging text, one line feature
is support for a variety of emoticons as well as able to make voice calls
through VoIP.
Line
is available for IOS, Android, Windows Phone, as well as desktop computers.
For
further updates, Line will release a feature called 'Home' and 'Timeline' which
will improve communication with other users. Line will also support other
operating systems, but does not mention what OS will be visited next.
