Judge Christopher Floyd decided on Wednesday that HTC does not violate Apple's
patents, as reported by Bloomberg. Previous HTC allegedly infringing Apple, and
Apple has been trying to ask for ban on HTC Android device on the market but
failed. Patent in question is a patented slide-to-unlock, includes a variety of
functions that involve touch screens on mobile devices.
''
Competition is healthy, but competitors should create their own original
technology, not steal from us,'' said Apple told Bloomberg in a statement.
A HTC spokesman told reporters that HTC
pleased with the decision but still a little disappointed that Apple does not
seem to want to compete well in the market. '' We remain disappointed that
Apple continues to competition in the courtroom in the competition in the
market'', the HTC spokesperson said sarcastically.
