Despite
being highlighted because it is not much developed, RIM was able to prove that
it is not silent. This has been achieved at least visible from record 3 billion
application downloads on BlackBerry App World recently.
According
to a BlackBerry developer blog, the 3 billion downloads is the equivalent of
more than 2.5 million downloads per day. And more importantly, this download
has a rising trend. Previous figures have reached 1 billion downloads in 786
days from the BlackBerry App World opened, while to reach 2 billion downloads
in 210 days and only took 176 days to reach 3 billion application downloads.
This means 1172 hours total time required to reach a record is a record 3
billion downloads.
These
figures do not include downloads from BlackBerry application store provided by
third parties. These applications are typically incorporated internally by
various companies around the world or downloaded directly from the web.
Blog
also reveals that there are currently more than 28,000 providers in the
BlackBerry App World application which provides more than 90 thousand
applications that can be bought in stores this application. Unfortunately there
is no information on whether there is a special bonus for the celebration of
these downloads to 3 billion.
