An
owner of a nosy Google Nexus 7, has found a new feature on the first tablet is
Jelly Bean. The owner of a magnet boldly brought into the Nexus 7, something
that could damage the electronic circuits inside. Luckily, of the annoyance is
not damaged and even found a magnetic sensor that can be applied to smart cover
like the iPad.
Magnet
is placed adjacent to the Nexus 7, both at the front, rear, or at the bottom
left when in a standing position would get a response from the tablet. Tablet
will wake up from his sleeping position and turn on the screen, as shown in the
video on Youtube titled" Nexus 7 has "smart cover"
sensor"
Google
itself does not sell a cover for the Nexus 7 or there is information that
describes support for this feature. Asus had called smart cover, but there is
little oddities here because there is a magnetic sensor on the left side when
the lid is usually open from right to left.
Apple
is known to have implemented smart in iPad 2 cover. Function looks similar to
the one installed in the Nexus 7 and there are also possible on Microsoft
Surface tablets that have not been circulated. Apple even has a patent on a
magnetic system Smart Cover, though not so broad in scope.
From
the Apple patent about Smart Cover, mechanisms and functions appear on the
special limited iPad 2. Smart Cover on the iPad 2 is intended to fit the lid on
the sides of the iPad, and not to make the screen light up. There is mention of
other useful functions for the Smart Cover but still looked destined for the
design and the mechanisms used by Apple.
Is
this design will become a matter of law and violate Apple's patents?
