Mobile
operating system from Mozilla, Firefox rival Android OS is scheduled to be
ready next year. Through partnership with Mozilla, the first operator to launch
this device is Telefónica, one of the major operators in Brazil. The company is
heavily involved in the development of HTML5 with Mozilla.

system at a meeting in London. 'With Firefox Mobile OS we can enjoy the same
experience with Android device with low prices, or a better experience for the
same price.'
Simple,
faster, and efficient
What
a hype-touted Firefox OS for mobile is much simpler, faster and more efficient
in power consumption, despite the 600MHz processor device.

Domingo, Director of Product and Innovation Telefónica added, "Android
devices offer only low-priced and generally a bad experience with cheap price
operating system running an older version. '
Key
also revealed that when the first Firefox OS later slide, retail price of under
$ 100. 'The first will be priced under $ 100, and we will launch in the first
quarter of 2013 in Brazil and other countries followed.'
Mozilla
has been working with seven carriers and two manufacturers (ZTE and Alcatel) to
support Firefox Mobile OS. Mozilla is also being peddled in cooperation with
four or five other large handset manufacturers.
