The
results of a recent study found that Android smartphone sales in America
declined in the second quarter of this year while the IOS rising up, the study
published by research firm Strategy Analytics. Average of all manufacturing
shipments declined smartphone 5% to 23.8 million units, compared with 25.2
million for the same quarter last year. The fall in sales is estimated to
result from the economic crisis and a change in policy from each of the major
carriers.
Total
sales of Android in the second quarter of 2011 reached 15.3 million units, and
controls 60.6% market share. This year that number dropped to 13.4 million
units, although a number of advanced launch Android devices.
The
only platform that sales do not fall in the second quarter of this year is the
IOS. IOS device sales increased by nearly 2 million units across from the
Android is down 2 million units. This figure also increase Apple's market share
in the U.S. from 23.2% to 33.2%.
