After
the mega acquisition of Motorola Mobility, Google still seems to keep trying to
buy another company that is deemed necessary to strengthen the company's
position. This time , Google has bought an internet security company named
VirusTotal.
Information
acquisition is not published directly by Google but known by VirusTotal blog
post. VirusTotal says in the article that the agreement is good news (for
internet users) and is bad news for the developers of malware as Google's
infrastructure will allow the tool owned by VirusTotal always ready whenever
needed.
Parties
Google has also provided a statement on the matter once asked The Next Web,
saying that security is very important to Google and they have invested
millions of dollars to help them stay safe while online. VirusTotal has a good
track record in the security of the web and Google are happy to provide the
infrastructure necessary to ensure their services continues to grow.
VirusTotal
in his blog said it will continue to operate independently and maintain
partnerships with antivirus companies and security experts.
