Xbox 360 has sold 70 million units worldwide for the past 7 years is sold by Microsoft since November 2005. Although the figure does look great, it was revealed that Xbox sales actually fell 29 percent in the third quarter compared to the same period (July-September) in 2011. Microsoft sold 1.7 million units in the third quarter of this year, while the same period in 2011 reached more than 2.4 million units.
However, this makes the sale of the Xbox 360 far beyond its predecessor, the Xbox only sold 24 million units worldwide within four years of the sale. Microsoft also announced that Xbox ive membership increased 15 percent during the third quarter of this year.
