Delivery delays for iMac 27-inch lately is arguably due to production problems of LG Display. According to DigiTimes, sources claimed that LG is facing problems with the laminate, thus limiting the number of screens that can be delivered to the assembly. Currently there are only about 100,000 27-inch display components that can be delivered by the LG every month.
This is in contrast with the production of iMac 21.5-inch, which reportedly reached between 300,000 to 400,000 units per month. According to news sources, the possibility of the production of components of new 27-inch screen will begin to return to normal in February.
