Survey Shows Many Smartphone Users Want Mobile Sailing from 4 to 4.5 Inches

A study conducted by Strategy Analytics found that smartphone owners in the United States and Britain want a device with 4-4.5-inch screen, as long as the phone is not thick. '' Almost 90 percent of smartphone owners surveyed chose a prototype smartphone with a screen larger than their current phone,'' said Paul Brown, Director of User Experience Practice at Strategy Analytics.

'' This trend is due to the increased ability to browse through the mobile web, as well as the experience of watching videos and playing games.'' The research also found that Android users prefer a sailing device larger than an iPhone owner. Whereas women prefer devices that are smaller than men. '' To satisfy the smartphone owners who want a large screen, it is very important for smartphone vendors to create a phone that is not too heavy and still thin enough to put in the bag,'' added Kevin Nolan, vice president of User Experience Practice at Strategy Analytics.
