Bert Nordberg, CEO of
Sony Ericsson since 2009 to lose his post on 16 May. With the departure of
Ericsson joint venture of the Japanese-Swedish giant, it is only logical he is
replaced. His successor is Kunimasa Suzuki. According to BusinessWeek, Suzuki (left
in picture) has been devoted to the Sony since 1984, the last 10 years he
oversaw the division VAIO computer.
Replacement Sony shows new strategy, the
mobile division they want to be a big part of their overall business. Kazuo
Hirai, the new CEO of Sony, which also served to give an official statement:
Kuni has experience in planning and management in information technology
products and mobile products business, as well as experience in developing
business in emerging markets. He is a strong leader and the right people to see
Sony Mobile Communications as part of one of our new business structure, One
Sony, to develop strength and speed up the development of our overall business
management.
